alfa laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has won an order to supply a process solution for a soybean oil refining plant in brazil. the order has a value of approximately sek 125 million. it was booked late june in the food systems unit of the food & water division, with deliveries scheduled for 2018.
the alfa laval process solution includes various pieces of equipment such as high-speed separators and heat exchangers which will be installed in a plant where soybeans will be refined to consumer oils. the order also includes a service agreement.
"i am very pleased to announce this large order from one of the biggest agribusiness cooperatives in latin america," says nish patel, president of the food & water division. "our proven technology is reliable and efficient and meet the high demands from customers in the food industry."
alfa laval also won an order to supply compact heat exchangers to a refinery in china. the order has a value of approximately sek 90 million. it was booked late june in the gasketed plate heat exchangers unit of the energy division, with deliveries scheduled for 2018.
the alfa laval plate heat exchangers will be installed in so called secool applications, where seawater is used as a cooling media for different duties in the refinery.
