Cooliance Introduces New Range Of High-Power Passive LED Coolers

cooliance announces the worldwide release of a new range of high-power passive led coolers – the chp series – which are used to efficiently dissipate heat for the newer generations of led lighting arrays, specifically for high bay and high power spot applications. the products were introduced at the ‘strategies in light’ trade show at the santa clara convention center in march 2016.

the initial product offering in the chp series includes 150w, 200w and 250w passive led coolers and cooliance’s product development team are currently working on extending the chp series to include products rated greater than 500w.

“our new high-power family of led coolers provides the optimal solution combining high power cooling in a low profile and lightweight form factor,” said russ hall, president of cooliance.

these new products are based on proven bonded-fin aluminum construction which provides excellent thermal attributes while also offering a very light weight (under 3lbs) and feature a thermally efficient nickel plated finish.

the chp series of led coolers have a precision machined, 10mm thick, flat base which ensures consistent contact between the base of the led cooler and the interface material/led substrate to maximize heat transfer. each chp series led cooler can be supplied with led array manufacturer specific mounting hole patterns; or can be supplied with custom mounting hole patterns, or can be provided without any mounting holes.
